AIMAN (1989-2013)

One of the DDT’s founding member, Aiman who played the drums (since we begin in 2007 until Feb 2010) passed away last night at 9.30 pm. He was hospitalized for six days for having breathing problem and supposed to undergo biopsy today. Many friends paid a visit until 1.30 a.m last night at two hospitals in KL city. He’s been buried today at Taman Selasih Muslim Cemetary in Gombak this morning.

He composed the song ‘Merdekakah Kita’, as well as many other tunes with bands he fronted; Civil Disorder (before DDT), The FRU, Swampy Zombie Fever and also played drums in M.A.N. He’s also one of the shitworkers at Ricecooker Shop (DIY music/art shop in KL) for quite some time. He published an issue of Aliens Nations zine with a friend, Hazim. He has also drawn artworks for several gig flyers and covers for his bands' demo CDs.

R.I.P, Al-Fatihah Mohd Atiff Aiman.

Aiman, seorang cobain-like person. Maafkan aku kawan. Bagi aku, tak perlulah aku kenali Cobain, cukuplah aku pernah kenal kamu Aiman. Aku tahu kamu hidup dalam serba kepayahan. Moga kamu bertemu ketenangan. Amin.
